Crypto platform WazirX has come up with a unique offer to find the property lost in cyber theft. According to this offer, if you bring back the stolen property, you can join the list of billionaires.
The co-founder of the company gave information – WazirX gave an offer
WazirX co-founder Nischal Shetty informed about this offer on the social media platform X and said that we have announced a bounty program with the help of which stolen assets can be tracked, frozen and recovered.
The amount was increased after criticism
The company had earlier offered less money for recovery. Earlier the company had said that a reward of 10 thousand dollars would be given for finding out about the stolen property. Along with this, the company will also give 5 percent of the recovered amount as White Hat Reward. After which people on the Internet were criticizing the company for the low reward. After which the company increased the reward to 23 million dollars.
Fishing was not the reason – Nischal Shetty
Nischal Shetty stressed that the incident was not caused by phishing but involved multiple hardware wallets and signatories. Custody provider Liminal blamed compromised WazirX machines for the incident.
The incident happened last week
This incident happened with the crypto platform WazirX on July 18. In which hackers stole $234 million from the WazirX multisig Ethereum wallet. The company has complained to the police in this matter and the company is also taking appropriate legal action for further action.
